How Quotes Work
Every order is quoted and fulfilled by a partner supplier, not by us. Here is what happens after you submit the form.
1. You Send a Request
Tell us the products, sizes, grades, quantities, your ZIP code, and your timeline. A material list or cut list helps.
2. We Pass It On
We share your request with one or more partner suppliers in our network that serve your location and carry the materials you need.
3. A Supplier Follows Up
The supplier contacts you directly with pricing, availability, and delivery or pickup options. Prices, stock, and delivery terms are set by that supplier.
What Lumber Grades Mean
Grades describe the strength and appearance of a board, and they affect price. Knowing the basic terms makes it easier to compare quotes from different suppliers.
Structural Grades
Framing lumber is commonly sold as Select Structural, No. 1, No. 2, or Stud grade. No. 2 is the usual choice for general framing; higher grades have fewer knots and defects.
Appearance Grades
Boards for trim, shelving, and visible work are graded on looks, from clear (few or no knots) down to common grades with more knots and character.
Treated Lumber
Pressure-treated lumber is labeled for its use, such as above ground or ground contact. Check the end tag and match it to your project, especially for posts and framing near soil.
